HEDWIG (HEDDY) ELIZA DENTRY (nee MUELLER) Heddy passed away at Riverview Health Centre on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at the age of 90 years. She was born and raised in Hanover, Germany and came to Canada in 1949 to live the rest of her life in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Remaining to lovingly remember Heddy are her sons, Bill (Joan) Dentry and Ray (Sharon) Dentry; daughter Heddy (Robert) Paquet; grandchildren, Tammy, Tara, Peter and Corwin (Ruthie) and great-grandson Benedict. She was predeceased by her parents, Oskar and Hedwig Mueller and her husband Raymond. She was one of the last few remaining members from her family of 12 children. Heddy held many positions during her working life, but her greatest joy was being a Home Care worker. She cherished her clients and was loved and appreciated by them in return. Heddy was an exceptional cook, seamstress, knitter, crafts person and gardener. Her greatest love was spending time at the family cottage fishing, swimming and berry picking. Heddy and Ray took great pride in the cottages they built together. A celebration of Heddy's life will be held on Monday, December 5, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. in the Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue, Winnipeg, across from Brookside Cemetery. In honor of her bright spirit, we ask you wear something colorful if attending. Special thanks to Doctors Fatoye and Appel, as well as her loving Home Care workers. In lieu of flowers, donations in Heddy's memory to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10 - 120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 4G2, would be gratefully received. Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • I met Heddy years ago walking my dog. Heddy was a kind spirit with many talents. When we moved into our home on Church Avenue not far where she had her home at the time in 2014, Heddy came over and helped me with some things. We kept in touch then she sold her home and because of health reasons I lost touch with her. I just found out this eve of her passing. I have missed Heddy dearly. She is now with her beloved Raymond. - Posted by: Lauralee Hackert (Friend) on: Jul 09, 2018
