DOROTHY MORLOCK November 15, 1932 - October 23, 2016 Peacefully, on October 23, 2016, Dorothy passed away at Riverview Health Centre, her home since January 2010, after a lengthy challenge with Alzheimer's. Beloved wife of the late Judge Ron Morlock, and mother of Leslie, Dorothy truly enjoyed life. Her family and friends were very important, and many hours were spent playing cards and the games she loved with them, especially Bridge and Scrabble. Dorothy loved music. While at Riverview she would often sing with visiting friends, cousins and staff she had a lovely voice. She enjoyed flowers and working in the garden and travelling to warmer places. Dorothy loved attending movies throughout her life, as well as watching them on TV. She openly welcomed everyone into her home with her radiant smile. Her warm personality shone though while greeting customers at the TD Bank. It was evident how much she loved time spent at work, interacting with people. Dorothy also thoroughly enjoyed many years delivering Meals on Wheels, and as a canvasser for Heart and stroke. She was always helping others. Dorothy's family is forever grateful to the wonderful, kind, caring and loving staff at Riverview Health Centre, who took amazing care of her over the past seven years. Her birthday parties were always special, and attended by fellow residents, friends, and family. Dorothy's daily life was enriched with fun activities and social events. She loved to pet visiting four-legged friends, and laugh with visiting children. Her laughter, songs and smiles were a testament to the fondness and genuine love she received and gave to everyone. Cremation has taken place, and no formal service will be held. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Riverview Health Centre, specifically to Ward AB2, 1 Morley Ave., Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3L 2P4. She is not lost our dearest friend, Nor has she travelled far.
