ELIZABETH (BETTY) WINSTANLEY 1950 - 2016 It is with deep sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter and sister. Elizabeth (Betty) Winstanley passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 22, 2016. She leaves to cherish her memory her mother Mary; siblings Adelaide, James and Margaret (Mike) Gobert; nephews and nieces Colin and Michael Murkin and Nicole Gobert; lifelong friend Bridgette Wagner. Elizabeth was hard working and over the years, the relationships made at Stage West, the Concert Hall and all places she worked became not only friends, but extended family. In her retirement she enjoyed her time relaxing out at the cabin. Elizabeth will be sadly missed by her family and many friends, and will remain with us in our memory and in our hearts. At her request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard THOMSON "IN THE PARK" 204-925-1120 Condolences may be sent to www.thomsoninthepark.com

  • I'm sorry, I didn't know. Lost touch for a long time. You were and always will be one of the most special people who ever graced my life. I am so much the better for having known you. Goodbye to one of the most beautiful humans I have ever known. - Posted by: John Quagleini (Friend) on: Aug 10, 2020

  • So sad to hear of Betty's passing. I hung around with Betty in my late teens. She was living in a studio apartment in Osborne Village (before it was trendy). She had a zest for life, a great sense of humour and was an entertaining story teller. I left the city for a number of years and lost touch with Betty but I still thought of her often with great affection. My condolences to her family. - Posted by: Jan Henley (Friend) on: Dec 03, 2016
