TAMMY LYNNE MERRELL (JANSEN) Peacefully after a decade long battle with cancer Tammy passed away on November 30, 2016. She is survived by her husband Richard; son Gage (Angela) and daughter Sasha (Jules); her mother Linda (Harold); father Edward (Gladys); three brothers, Glenn (Sharon), Sean (Denise) and Leslie (Danielle); her special best friend Aunty Paddy, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. In the past ten years Tammy had all the hospital staff and friends and family wondering how she could be so upbeat during this time, that was just who she was. Our family wishes to thank the many doctors and nurses who cared for her over the years. Special thanks to the Riverview staff where she spent her final days. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in to CancerCare Manitoba, Riverview Health Care or a Pet Rescue Center of your choice. In keeping with Tammy's wishes a private family gathering will take place. Gone but not forgotten We sat beside your bedside, Our hearts were crushed and sore, We did our best to the end, Til we could do no more. In tears we watched you sinking, We watched you fade away, And though our hearts were breaking, We knew you could not stay. You left behind some aching hearts, That loved you most sincere, We never shall and never will Forget you Tammy dear. For those who wish to sign the online Guest Book please visit our website.

I was very saddened to read Tammy's obituary. Although I have not seen her in 25 years, I would often reflect upon our fun times as kids and hope that she and her family were doing well. My sincerest condolences are extended to her family. RIP Tammy. - Posted by: Marna W. (Childhood friend) on: Jul 23, 2017

My deepest condolences to all of Tammy's family and friends. I have not seen Tammy since we were kids (neighbors) on Stradford Street but I do remember how kind she was to me when we were kids. I have known Tammy since the day she was born we were always very close. About 10 years ago she faced the dreaded C. We became bonded over this. We talked at least 2 hours daily when I couldn't get over there. We became so close there was nothing we didn't talk about. I will always love her like she was one of my own. I am so glad I got to share so much time with her. She very seldom complained about anything. My daughters and I always made her laugh and we always felt good about this. She passed away November 30. I know my daughters and I will never forget or stop loving her. She was a very brave young woman. Rest in Peace Tammy. You deserve it. Will will always remember you. Loving you always. - Posted by: Pat mace (Aunt) on: Dec 04, 2016

I'm so sorry I never got up to see Tammy over the years but I will always remember the times when we were kids. She was such a fun loving, energetic kid. I know she held a very special part in my mom's heart (Aunty Alma) as well. - Posted by: Cheryl dopson (Cousin) on: Dec 03, 2016
