Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySHIZUE (SUE) YOSHINO (nee OMOTO) Peacefully on Wednesday, December 1, 2016 at the age of 99, Sue passed away. She will be dearly missed and remembered by her family, daughter Judy Mizuno (Jack), son Stephen (Mariellen), daughter-in-law Keiko, nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Sue was predeceased by her husband Sam and her sons Dick and Alan. Sue was born in Vancouver, BC on May 25, 1917. Sam and Sue were married in 1939 in BC. At the beginning of the Second World War they were interned, and subsequently moved to Winnipeg in 1946. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who paved the way for the family in Winnipeg. Sue was an inspiration to all who knew her for her hard work, smile, strength and perseverance. She enjoyed all the activities at the Japanese Cultural Centre. We were saddened to hear of Sue Yoshino's passing. We have fond memories of her resulting from many interactions with her and her family over the years.
