JOSEPH LEONARD (PAPA) MCIVOR It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Papa on November 29, 2016 at Health Science Centre at the age of 79 years. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Agnes Langhan; brother, Neil McIvor as well as two nephews, Randy Robillard and Freddy McIvor. Left to cherish Papa's memory is his loving wife of 47 years, Denise McIvor (nee Lussier); children, Yvonne (Dave), Gerald (Cora), Nola (Doug), Gilbert (Brenda), Giselle (Peter), Susan and Yvette. Grandchildren, Chantelle (Sean), Douglas (Patrick), Daniel (Joanna), Kenneth (Tina), Joe (Athena), Christine (Anthony), Edward (Ashley), Andre (Briana), Stephanie (Rene), Sherisse, Cassandra (Chase) and Drew (Donovan). He also leaves behind his loving sister, Eileen Baker; his nephew Ken Robillard; nieces Tammy Baker and Kathy Mehl as well as many great-grandchildren. He was born in Haywood, Manitoba and resided in B.C. for a short while where he met his wife, Denise and together they moved to Winnipeg. Papa was a very hard working man, employed by Active Management for over 30 years. He loved to spend time watching movies with his treasured wife, whom still after 47 years of togetherness he brought home flowers for his babe. We will miss his jokes, his stubborn ways, his smile and his laugh. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Papa's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3L 0K6.
