CANDACE LAGASSE December 21, 1956 - November 29, 2016 Our beloved mom, sister, aunt and friend, Candace Lagasse (nee Shand) was born in Winnipeg, MB, on December 21, 1956. She passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2016, in Langford, BC, at the age of 59, after a courageous two year battle with breast cancer. Candace was predeceased by her parents Alex and Martha Shand. She leaves to cherish her memory: fiancé Wayne Hiebert, one daughter Brittany (Corby), one son Alex (Jenna) and their father Don (Louise) Lagasse, one brother Ian (Jace) Shand, one sister Carmen (Ross) Giesbrecht, many nieces, nephews and friends. Candace grew up in St. Adolphe until the age of 14 when she moved to Niverville with her sister and family where she stayed until after graduation in 1974. She worked many different jobs usually with bookkeeping and / or accounting. Several years ago she moved to BC where she and Wayne enjoyed the outdoors and many different adventures Candace enjoyed life and fought every obstacle life threw at her. We will miss her laugh and infectious smile. She loved her family and was interested in every one of their lives no matter what she was going through. The funeral will be held Friday, December 9, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the St. Adolphe Catholic Church with lunch to follow at the St. Adolphe Pioneer Hall.
