JOHN KALYTA On Tuesday, December 6, 2016 John Kalyta passed away peacefully, in the comfort of his home, at the age of 82 years. John was the loving husband to Janet for 54 years and loving father to Curtis (Tasha), and his greatest role of all was as Gigi to his two lovely grandchildren, Rylan and Laneya who will miss him dearly. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, family members and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Frances and Stephen; brothers Peter, Bill and Paul; and sister Stephanie. For 40 years John was employed at The Greater Winnipeg Gas Company. He was a very kind and genuine man, with a joking personality, which everybody loved. The great memories of John will be held close to our hearts and cherished forever. As per John's requests, there will be no formal service. In lieu of flowers, a donation in John's memory can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, or an animal shelter of your choice. • I will always remember my Uncle John as having a smile on his face. He loved to joke with you and tell jokes or stories about him and my dad, Uncle Paul & Aunt Stephie. He was a kind and gentle man with a huge heart. You will be missed Uncle John. Love Lori - Posted by: Lori Kalyta-Lowe (Niece) on: Dec 15, 2016
