We knew Carol & Michael early in our marriage when we still lived in Winnipeg. They were always fun to be with and we have many fond memories of sharing stories, food and wine together. They came to see us in Victoria on one of their many travels & it felt like no time had passed between visits. I just saw Carol and Alexis in November at my Dad's memorial but did not know that she was ill. As usual, she was warm and gracious and I regret we did not have more time to catch up. Our hearts go out to Carol's children and grandchildren. She was a wonderful woman. - Posted by: Sue (nee Lount) & Carl Stovel (Family/friend) on: Dec 10, 2016

It was great to have had Carol as a friend. We traveled with her and Michael, and had a fabulous cruise with a group of friends. She had wit, loved to laugh, and play games. We ultimately shared sadness with her on Michael's demise, the true love of her life and her vigorous fight to keep him alive verified that. She was very helpful to us with a health situation we had to deal with and she made our lives richer for having known her. Our deepest condolences to Alex and Bill, and all the grandchildren. may their memories of Carol during good times sustain them in their time of sorrow. - Posted by: Dr. Ted and Gail Hechter (Friends) on: Dec 10, 2016
