MARY (MONA) DUDDRIDGE (nee O'CONNOR) August 15, 1938 - December 10, 2016 Mona Duddridge (nee O'Connor), was born on August 15, 1938, in Ireland, and passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at De Salaberry District Health Centre, St. Pierre, MB. She is survived by her loving husband Terry; children: Anthony (Sandy), Kevin (Ruth), Paul (Rhonda), Claire (Henry) and Brendan (Linda); their sixteen treasured grandchildren plus twelve great-grandchildren. She will also be greatly missed by her five remaining brothers and sister. She emigrated from England to Winnipeg, Canada with her family in 1967. As an artist, Mona made many contributions, working and developing the Transcona museum. She used her talents through story- telling on CBC children's radio and Radio Riyadh in Saudi Arabia. She has left us with many beautiful acrylic paintings demonstrating her lively use of colour. These express her love of life and captivate the essence of the many different countries in which she has lived and visited throughout the world. The funeral mass will be held on Friday, December 16, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Our Saviour Catholic Church, 365 Loewen Blvd., Steinbach, Manitoba. Cremation has taken place. If friends desire, donations in memory of Mona may be made to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation. Arrangements by BIRCHWOOD FUNERAL CHAPEL 1-204-346-1030 OR 1-888-454-1030

My deepest sympathies to all of the family during this difficult time. I only had the pleasure of meeting Mona when I was a teenager, but feel her grace, kind spirit, and gentleness will live on in her daughter Claire ( who I have come to know and class as a fantastic friend.) I know your mom would be very proud of all her children, grandchildren & great grandchildren. A beautiful legacy to leave behind. - Posted by: Brenda Imlah (Friend of Claire) on: Dec 16, 2016

Sorry to learn of Mona’s passing. We know that she had suffered for quite some long time and so perhaps it is somewhat of a blessing for her and the family. Mona brought much joy and love to many during her life. She will be missed by all who knew her. Undoubtedly, there will be a great reception for her in heaven. Our heartfelt condolences to Terry and the family at this sad time. Love, Anne and Gord Gooding. - Posted by: Anne & Gord Gooding (friends) on: Dec 15, 2016

We were so sorry to learn about Mona's passing. She was such a wonderful and charismatic individual. We have very fond memories of our get togethers with Terry and Mona at many functions in Transcona. She will be very much missed by family and friends here on earth but we have no doubt that she has been whole heartily greeted in Heaven. Terry and family you are in our thoughts and prayers at this sorrowful time. Stay strong, Mona is watching over you all. We were so saddened to hear of Mona's passing but at the same time we knew she had suffered long and was ready to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. We remember all the fun times we had with Terry, Mona and our many other friends in Transcona. Many of us were bringing up large families and had so much fun when we gathered for K of C picnics & other functions. Mona had so much Faith. I admired her strength through this long ordeal. God Bless you Terry for being such a loving and caring husband and partner. Our hearts and prayers go out to you and your beautiful family in this time of sorrow.
