Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBERYL JOAN (KITTY) SCHAEDLICH (MOXON) (nee FOX) It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our mother Beryl at Golden West Centennial Lodge on December 13, 2016 at the age of 95. Kitty, as she was fondly called, was predeceased by the love of her life and husband Charlie Moxon in 1960, her parents, six siblings and her second husband Abe Schaedlich. Mother is survived by her sons Gary and Wayne (Wendy), her granddaughters Brandi (Joey), Michelle (Evan), grandson Josh, great grandchild Aamara, and Wendy's sister Bonnie. Kitty was born November 18, 1921 in Redbrook, Glouchestershire, England to her parents Milson and Mable Fox. At the age of 18, mother enlisted in the British Army and it was there she met Charlie who was serving the Canadian Army overseas. In 1942, they married and in 1945, mother left the army after having her first born Gary. Later in 1945, she traveled to Winnipeg as a Warbride while Charlie remained overseas to continue his service. Her second son Wayne was born in 1949. Mother worked for many years for Eatons in Winnipeg. Through the years she was active with the Canadian Legion, the Army, Navy Veterans and with her greatest contribution being the the Canadian Blood Services for which she was given a Certificate of Congratulations for 25 years plus of service. Mother's greatest loves were cleaning around the house bright and early in the mornings, dancing to good music and a nice brandy and ginger ale. Mother also loved to listen to the songs of Johnny Mathis. The family would like to say thank you to the Golden West Centennial Lodge, to Kristin Zasika and the 2nd floor staff for their understanding, care and compassion given to our mother "Kitty". In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Golden West Centennial Lodge, 811 School Road, Winnipeg, MB, R2Y 0S8. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 19, 2016 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB. My Nan will be missed dearly. We have always been very close. My Nan was my rock, and a big inspiration to me, it is because of her I am who I am today. It was her disease that made me decide to go to college to learn more about her dementia and find ways that I could help not just her, but others. I am now a successful Health Care Aide, and I work hard to help others with dementia and other disabilities, to be a companion for those who have no one. My Nan will always live on within me. I will miss her life stories, her laugh and love she always gave. To my Nan, you will always be remembered and never forgotten. Love Always xoxox - Posted by: Michelle Eiche (Moxon) (Grand Daughter) on: Dec 19, 2016
