CHARLOTTE MANCHESTER 1911 - 2016 With sadness, the family announces the passing of our aunt, Charlotte Manchester on December 13, 2016 at the age of one hundred five. Born in Winnipeg on January 10, 1911 Charlotte was the daughter of Robert and Selina Manchester. Surviving Charlotte are her nieces Bernice Cheney of Atlanta, Georgia, Carole Buss of Port Coquitlam, BC, Lillian Friesen, Marilyn Manchester and Susan (James) Reeves and by her dear niece by marriage Ina Birch, all of Winnipeg. Also surviving are the many of the younger generations of the family and relatives in England. Her working life began with the T. Eaton Company in Winnipeg followed by a career with the Canadian Wheat Board which lasted until her retirement in 1971. Charlotte touched the lives of many, especially her large family and will be greatly missed. The family expresses their gratitude to the staff of Riverview Health Centre, CD4 Ward for the kind care afforded to her in her final, happy eight years. At her request, no service to commemorate Charlotte's passing will be held and flowers are gratefully declined. Friends who wish may make a donation in her memory to her favored charity, the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg MB, R3T 9Z9 or to the charity of their choice.
