LADOBRUK (nee DAVIDSON) It is with sadness we announce the passing of Betty Ladobruk on December 10, 2016 at the Victoria Hospital in Winnipeg. Betty was born in Cypress River, Manitoba on November 25, 1927. She was predeceased by her husband Harry in October 2000; her parents Fred and Elizabeth; brothers Herman (Dolphine), Preston (Emma), Percy and Morley (Alice); sisters Iris, Verna, Florence, Vivian and Ada; bothers-in-law John Nordman, John Edmundson, Duncan Sholdice, Al Gray, Wendell Bradford, and Bill Aldcroft. Left to mourn her passing are sister Enid; brother Harley and wife Fjola, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by a special sister-in-law Nettie Ladobruk in 1996. Betty became a school teacher, starting in a small country school near Rapid City and going on to teach in Argyle, MB, Emerson, MB and lastly Winnipeg where she specialized in Special Education. At teachers College she met and married Harry Ladobruk in 1949, and they taught together for many years. At Betty's request, cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue later on a warm, bright and sunny day. In Betty's memory a donation may be made to the Arthritis Society, 100A-1465 Buffalo Place, Winnipeg, MB, R3T 1L8 or to a charity of one's choice. Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there - I do not sleep, I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow, I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awake in the morning's hush, I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft star that shines at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there I did not die. For those who wish to sign the online Guest Book please visit our website.

Will always remember the fun me and grandma Betty had when we went to watch the Royal Winnipeg Ballet. I wish Heaven had a phone so I could hear your voice again. I thought of you today, but that is nothing new. I thought about you yesterday and days before that too. I think of you in silence, I often speak your name. All I have are memories and your picture in a frame. Your memory is a keepsake from which I’ll never part. God has you in His arms, I have you in my heart. - Posted by: Angela Taylor (Granddaughter) on: Dec 20, 2016
