ALESSANDRO PROFETA 1924 - 2016 The family wishes to announce the passing of their father, Alessandro (Nono) on December 20, 2016. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with viewing at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Parish Church, 510 River Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations in Alessandro's name may be made to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, 1160-675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3E 0V9. A longer obituary will follow. December 27, 2016 Dear cousins, I am so saddened to learn of Uncle Alex's passing. He was a dear and wonderful uncle, and I recall so many happy family times together in our early years. I used to enjoy seeing him on my visits back to Winnipeg. My condolences to all of you and your families on the loss of your dear father. May you always treasure happy memories. Alessandro was a hard working man who was devoted to his family. He was a gentle person who was pleasant to speak to and with whom you could reason.
