Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDAVID WILLIAM PIKE Peacefully on December 24, 2016, Dave passed away with his family by his side at the age of 76 years. Dave was born August 11, 1940 in Stonewall, Manitoba. As a child, his family moved to Winnipeg, where he attended Chapman School, Royal School and Charleswood Collegiate. He worked for Goodyear for 40 years retiring in 1997. He was also an active volunteer within the community. In retirement he enjoyed the outdoors, woodworking and wine making. He is survived by his loving wife Bonnie (nee Stobbs) of 47 years, his three children Jennifer (Jeff) Diehl, Kathleen (Carey) Storozinski and Murray. His memory will forever be cherished by his prides and joy, the apples of his eye, his grandchildren: Lauren, Patrick, Courtney, Kayla, and Mark. He also leaves behind his sisters Carol (Bob) Buchanan and Brenda (Elliot) Wach as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to send their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at 3 West Special Care Unit from Deer Lodge Center. Their loving and compassionate care given to Dave and family during his entire time at the center cannot go unrecognized and is truly appreciated. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn, 4000 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba in his memory (www.alzheimer.mb.ca). God saw him getting tired, a cure was not to be. He wrapped him in his loving arms and whispered 'Come with me.' He suffered much in silence, his spirit did not bend. He faced his pain with courage, until the very end. He tried so hard to stay with us but his fight was not in vain, God took him to His loving home and freed him from the pain. For those who wish to sign the onlineGuest Book please visit our website.

Dave will always be remembered as a dedicated employee of Goodyear. He managed stores and trained many staff over his 40 years. He was extremely precise in everything he did and was truly motivated in everything he did. Many staff have moved on or are retired but Dave left a positive impression in the lives he touched. Rest in Peace Dave. Our hearts and prayers are with Bonnie and her family at this difficult time. Your Goodyear Family - Posted by: Goodyear Canada (Colleagues ) on: Dec 29, 2016

Joyous memories with my best buddy Dave will last forever. Dave was a friend in my life I would describe with the word .. kenzoku.. a Japanese term Implying the presence of the deepest connection of friendship. There were many special times together , visiting, playing ball, fishing, travelling, playing cards, sharing a bubbly, watching or discussing a Bomber game. The Bombers have lost a true blue fan and the world has lost an exceptionally wonderful Grandfather, father , brother & friend. Bonnie & Family, you are in our prayers during this difficult time. Dave will be dearly missed. Nina & Brian - Posted by: BRIAN TAYLOR (FRIEND) on: Dec 28, 2016

My sincere condolences to Bonnie and the entire Pike family, and my thoughts are with you. Dave and I went to High School together, goose hunted with him and his Dad at Dog Lake, socialized together(chased girls) and had many fun times over the years when we were younger. My most lasting memory of Dave is when one nite we met these 2 girls who gave us the song and dance about being from Minneapolis and in Winnipeg visiting. To make a long story short, he married one and I married the other.
