Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySYLVIA SZMILEK On August 19, 2016 we lost an amazing person. Sylvia was born on April 20, 1977 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She was a very unique, fun, loving and happy person. She always remained true to herself. She never changed who she was for anyone. She had a sense of humour and a laugh that was simply contagious. She could make anyone laugh. She worked as a health care aide and she loved her job and her patients. Her dogs and cat were the loves of her life. She adored them. They were her children and they could not have asked for a better mom. Every Sunday she would have "reggae Sunday" with her dogs where she would play reggae music and dance with her dogs. Sometimes dressing them up in a Rastafarian wigs. Another joy in life was to cook. The kitchen was definitely her happy place. She loved cooking Hungarian food which was her culture. She would often post pictures on facebook of her creations. She looked forward to the summers when she could get out in her yard and garden. It gave her so much pride and joy. She loved madonna and Lady Gaga. They were her favourite artists. She had gone to see lady Gaga in concert multiple times. Even going both nights she would be performing. One of her things she did on a daily basis was to have her looong baths. These baths would last three hours sometimes but it was her way of relaxing after the day was over. Losing her has left a big hole in the hearts of everyone who loved and cared for her. She will always be loved and forever missed.

I am numb with sadness I had no idea that she is gone, I have been thinking of her lately and missing her posts on FB with her pics of her pups, cats and food. That was absolutely beautiful Debbie. Sylvia can finally rest in peace, now that her life and memory have been honoured. She was very lucky to have you as a friend and I'm sure she's smiling down on you from Heaven. So much love, thought and effort went into writing this, and it shines through.
