RENATO C. PILI October 4, 1948 - December 26, 2016 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of a loving husband, father, lolo, son, brother, cousin, uncle, ninong, and great friend to many. Renato was born in Muntinlupa City, Philippines to Santos Pili (deceased) and Venancia Pili (Constantino). He was the eldest sibling and attended Muntinlupa National High School. He married Pacita Pili (Rivera) on November 24, 1974 and immigrated to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada in 1975, where he raised his family and helped numerous family members immigrate to the country. Renato worked as a welder and machine operator at Versatile for 25 years. In 2010, he retired and was able to split his time between Winnipeg and the Philippines. Renato was an incredibly generous, kind-hearted, fun-loving, and loyal family man. He enjoyed travelling and has been across Canada, the US, Asia, the Caribbean, Europe, and even Dubai. Renato is survived by his wife Pacita; children Richard, Roderick (grandchildren Lyssa and Logan), Robert, Hector (Bernardino), Ana (Rivera); mother Venancia Pili; siblings Jaime Pili, Fabiana Pili Patriarca, Ernesto Pili, Gertrude Pili Ablao, Melencio Pili, Damian Pili Jr., Lori Pili Osario; 16 Pili nephews and nieces; and his utol Nolie Arevalo. He was predeceased by his father Santos Pili, and brother Norberto Pili. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 4 and Thursday, January 5 from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 Midnight at Thomson 'In the Park' Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. Funeral Mass will held be on Friday, January 6 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Vital Parish, 1629 Pembina Highway with burial and reception at Thomson 'In the Park' Funeral Home to follow.
