Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGERALD VICTOR RIBENECK It is with deep sadness, Jerry passed away, at home, on Sunday, January 1, 2017 at the age of 82 years. Left to survive Jerry are his wife Jacki, of 59 years of marriage; son Gary; daughter Susan (Greg); granddaughters Courtney (Cory) and Kaitlin; great-grandsons Brody, Zachary and Matthew; sister Laurel (Tom); nephews Doug, Ricky, Michael, Shane and Brett; nieces Carol, Diane, Debbie, Lori, Sandy, Shelly, and cousin Jay (Nancy). He was predeceased by his parents Victor and Lydia; siblings Gloria, Brian, Marlene and Linda. Jerry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and known as "Dad" to all. He loved gardening, was an avid sports fan following the Winnipeg Jets and Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Many hours were also spent researching a variety of topics on his tablet. On Saturday, January 14, 2017 Jerry's Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street at Manitoba Avenue. I never thought this day would come so soon. I miss you terribly papa and I wish you would come back. But I know for a fact I will see you again. Someday. I know you will be watching over me. Keeping me safe from all the troubles in the world and also being there when I walk across the stage at my graduation. My condolences to the family and friends. I have known the family for many years and have not come across a better couple like Jackie and Jerry always welcoming to everyone. Sorry for your loss Jackie (mum) huge hugs. To my very good friend Gary I am so sorry for the loss of your dad. I will be here for you my friend just lean on me. Susan my heart breaks for your loss. I will see you on Saturday save a hug for this guy. Courtney i know Jerry was like a father to you, I am very sorry for the loss of your grandfather and my condolences to your families lose on a great, great-grandfather. I know words don't always mean much at this time of lose but we are all hurting for your family. We will be with you all to celebrate Jerry's life.
