When we first moved to Grain Avenue, Julie was a friendly neighbour to us. But later, she really shone as a caregiver and honorary grandmother to our two children. She has been part of our family circle ever since, and we mourn her passing along with Alan, Bruce and Paul. - Posted by: Laurel Satginson (Friend) on: Feb 25, 2017

I had the opportunity to work with Julie and Bunny at Lower Fort Garry, the 2 seasons I was employed there in 91 and 92. We shared a lot of good laughs and have a lot of fond memories of her. Sorry to hear of her passing, my condolences to remaining family members and friends. - Posted by: herbert daniels (friend , fellow employee lower fort garry 1992) on: Feb 01, 2017

Our thoughts & prayers are with the family & friends who knew Julia. She was a very kind soul who will be remembered by her stories she would share with us. We were blessed to know her and she will be in a better place with Bunny, her family & friends and not suffering anymore. Usually when a mother leaves this earth theirs is a void in your life but know that she is still watching over you sending her love. - Posted by: Dale & Marilyn Loutit (relative & friend) on: Jan 23, 2017

We're so sorry to hear of Julia's death. She has lived a good long life and will be missed. I will always remember the fun times we had when I was a young girl on those Sunday visits to Selkirk. As adults we continued to have a good time whenever we were together. We are away and therefore will not be at the funeral but our thoughts and prayers are with the family. Julia was warm, friendly and jovial and very kind to me and my family. She liked to visit my parents and exchange recipes with my Mom. She was a Mother first and tried very hard as all Mom's do---especially wanting the best for her children. Although her job on Earth here is done her spirit lives on! - Posted by: elaine ungarian (son is married to my sister) on: Jan 12, 2017

My sincere sympathy to Allan and other relatives. It's with great sadness that I received this news. Although we didn't visit in person ,I will so miss our long phone conversations. God has a new member in his family and she will be reunited with Bunny and her siblings, rest in peace dear one. Remembered always, Dali Kolas - Posted by: Adeline kolas (Cousin) on: Jan 12, 2017
