TERRY ARNASON Terry Angantyr Arnason died Monday, January 9, 2017, in Gimli Health Centre, at the age of 85, with his wife Bonnie Arnason at his side. Predeceased by his first wife Patricia Arnason, his sister Arlene Arnason, and his youngest daughter Melanie Arnason. Much loved father of Carolyn Arnason (Boyd McDonald) and Deborah Judith (Ervin Bartha). Cherished grandfather to Sean Taubner, Meagan Ruvolo, Heart Friend Infinity and Harmony Light, and great-grandfather to Bethany and Jeremy Ruvolo. Terry was stepather and grandfather to Bonnie's four grown children and their children, Karen and Dan Soper and their three sons, Skyler, Austin, and Sean, Joanna and Thomas Lissaman and their two daughters Bronwyn and Tegan, Matthew and Joanne Bancroft, and their four children, Olivia, Julia, Benjamin, and Emma, and Christine and Tyger Lauw and their two children, Naomi, and Declan. Terry was loved by all of Bonnie's family, and will be greatly missed. Terry worked in private practice as a Chartered Accountant in Winnipeg, established a successful temporary help agency (WorkPool Associates) and was a financial advisor for Investors Group. Terry loved learning and in later life he completed his BA at the University of Winnipeg and MBA at the University of Manitoba. He was a long-time, active member of the Lions Club. Terry performed in the chorus of Manitoba Opera productions and his beautiful baritone singing voice will be remembered forever. Terry's family will receive relatives and friends at the Gilbart Funeral Home on 50 1st Avenue in Gimli, Saturday, January 14. Guests are welcome any time after 2:00 p.m. and the Memorial Service will begin at 3:00 p.m. Interment at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Winnipeg will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Gimli Humane Society in Terry's honour would be appreciated.

We were both in the school choir at Robert H Smith, he had a solo role singing in descant, a high soprano for boys. At the Music Festival in the Memorial Auditorium before an audience of over a thousand, he was singing his solo when his voice broke and he was unable to continue. We were all sorry for him, but he was able to deal with it and handle it with grace and humor. A great guy. Sorry for the families loss.
