Survived by his mother Olga; brothers, Russell and Pat; nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his father Mike. Michael worked with several furniture manufacturing companies before retiring due to poor health. He was a devoted member of St. John Ambulance for many years. He also loved his truck modeling hobby, automobiles, bowling, camping and family. The family would like to thank neighbors and friends for their selfless generosity and help during a difficult time. Funeral services to be held on Monday, January 16, 2017 in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, 309 Eveline St. Selkirk, MB, at 11:00 a.m. with viewing one hour prior to the service. Reception to follow the service with interment to take place at the conclusion of the reception in the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery, Poplar Park, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Michael's memory to St. John Ambulance (204) 784-7000 or the charity of your choice.
