Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVICTOR LARRY MERKE April 7, 1950 - January 5, 2017 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Victor Merke on January 5, 2017, at the St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 66. He is survived by his mother Hildegarde Merke; companion Elisabete and her daughter Susie; grandchildren Ondreis and Lennox; his children: Cayla and Dezaraye (a.k.a. Alexx); siblings: Gerald (Elaine), Garry (Roberta), Ryan (Chris), Cindy (Frank Behnke), Marilyn (Gord Walls), Audrey (Cam Teague), and Kelly (Kallie); as well as many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Victor was predeceased by his father Otto in 1975, and his sister Muriel in infancy. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 1:00 p.m., with viewing one hour prior at 12:00 noon, at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Ave. E., Beausejour. Pastor Bart Coleman will officiate. Cremation will follow the service, with interment at a later date. Honorary Pallbearers will be Victor's nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Victor's memory to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Box 73, River Hills, MB; or Zion Lutheran Church, Box 968, Beausejour, MB, or to a charity of one's choice.
