Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDORIS LAURA FOSS It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Laura Parkinson Foss on January 8, 2017 at the age of 94 years. Doris is lovingly remembered by her three children, Brian (Charles Hill), David, and Cheryl (Brian Hutton); by her granddaughter Julie Hutton; and by her close friend Carol Shirk. Doris grew up in Saskatchewan but had lived in Winnipeg for the past 55 years. A dedicated and talented teacher, she taught for many years in rural Saskatchewan, as well as in First Nations and adult education programs in Ontario, the Northwest Territories and Manitoba, ending her career as a valued staff member at Red River Community College. I have fond memories of Auntie Doddy from visits as I was growing up. I admired her greatly and followed her footsteps and became a teacher. My deepest sympathy is extended to her family.
