MATTHEW WILLIAM HAWRYSH It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Matthew as he left us to be in God's loving care. Matthew blessed us all with his kind and loving heart, his calm, quiet presence and his subtle, and sometimes corny humour all of which will be sadly missed. Matthew was predeceased by his parents, Michael in 1996 and Tracey in 2009, grandfathers Stefan Dudek in 2012 and Michael Hawrysh in 2013. He leaves to mourn his big brother Adam, grandmothers Evelyn Dudek and Emily Hawrysh, as well as his aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and all who knew him. He will be greatly missed and forever loved. Prayers will be held on Friday, January 27 at 7:30 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Ukrainian Catholic Church in Cooks Creek. Divine Liturgy will be held Saturday, January 28 10:30 a.m. also at the church with Father Taras Kowch officiating. Interment will follow at the parish cemetery. Everyone who knew and loved Matthew is welcome to share a favourite story with us at the luncheon following the celebration of Matthew's life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. When we are heavy with sorrow we must look to our angels to help us fly. seasonsfunerals.ca

Matthew was a kind person and a musical leader in our Band program. There are so many fond memories. When he played the baritone saxophone for the first time, he had the biggest smile (...especially when he realized he was able to play "loud" all the time). I will miss you Matthew. - Posted by: Corah Enns (Teacher) on: Jan 28, 2017

So saddened and shocked to learn of this loss. My prayers are with the Crabb family and especially with Adam who played soccer with my daughter Michelle. Life takes us all on paths with many twists and turns. May you find strength in your love of each other. - Posted by: Mary-Ann Vaillancourt (Friend) on: Jan 26, 2017

I was very saddened to hear of Matthew's passing. I will always remember the kind and gentle boy I taught and worked with. I will forever treasure the wooden crochet hook he made me when he was 11 years old. Rest in peace Matthew! - Posted by: Viviane Evans (Teacher) on: Jan 26, 2017

My deepest and most heartfelt condolences to Matthew's family. Matthew was a quiet, caring friend. He was always able to lift spirits with his humour. Matthew's passing has shocked me and I have no words to express what I'm feeling. Rest in piece Matthew, you will be deeply missed. - Posted by: Bethanie MacLeod (Former classmate) on: Jan 26, 2017
