PAULINE POSNIKOFF July 12, 1937 - January 25, 2017 Peacefully Pauline went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Wednesday January 25, 2017. She was born to Nady and Fred Posnikoff on July 12, 1937 in Arran, Saskatchewan, a small farming community near the Manitoba border. She was predeceased by her parents, sister Alice; brothers-in-law, Roy and Michael. She is survived by her sister Verna (Ray) of Winnipeg; brother Harry (Jackie) of Yorkton, brother Walter (Willa) of Toronto and five nephews, two nieces and their families. After graduating from High School she had a successful career at Toronto Dominion Bank for forty one years. She retired as Bank Manager at Academy and Niagara Branch in 1996. It was here that she built many long lasting friendships which she held close even after retirement. She loved her family and friends. She had a special bond with her siblings. She never married and had no children but treated her nieces and nephews like they were her own. Her faith in God was her foundation and strength throughout her life. Faced with health challenges she met them with determination, courage and independence. In keeping with her wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will take place at The Gates on Roblin at 6945 Roblin Blvd in Headingley on Monday, January 30 at 12:30 p.m. The family invites Pauline's friends and loved ones to join us for this celebration luncheon. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations can be made to a charity of your choice or extend a helping hand to someone in need. Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • I have known Pauline for many years at Grant Memorial Baptist Church. Although we were not close friends, Pauline was always there in the picture with her sister Verna, who with her husband Ray, were our long time friends. Over the years we grew apart as we moved to British Columbia, but the memories of long time friendships never fade. You are with Jesus now Pauline, the best place to be! See you one day, and no more goodbyes. - Posted by: Marilee Fisher (Schirmacher) (Friend) on: Oct 26, 2017
