Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHARLIE (CHARLES) MILTON THOMPSON It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Charlie (Charles) Milton Thompson. Charles passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Friday, January 27, 2017. He is survived by his wife Winnifred, daughter Shirley (Frank), sister Helen Moore, grandchildren Carolynn (Tony) and Chris (Jolene), and 10 great-grandchildren. Charles served with the Canadian Princess Patricia's Infantry Light from 1942 to 1945 and then with the Royal Canadian Air Force from 1954 to 1975 after which he retired. The family would like to thank Dr. Harris, Dr. Butt and Dr. Susie and the entire nursing staff of the hospitals for their compassionate care. A special thanks to the Royal Canadian Legion - St. James Branch No. 4 for their participation in the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your charity of choice. A service to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, February 3, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue.
