JAMES HEARNE Jim passed away peacefully on Monday, January 23, 2017, with his beloved wife Doris at his side after 40 years of happiness. He was predeceased by his mother, and sisters Katherine and Antoinette. His friendly, caring nature gave him many friends and his life at Hillside Beach every year provided much happiness and peace. His career as an auditor with the Federal Tax Department continued until he retired. According to his wishes no formal service will take place. A private service will be arranged. In 1992 we purchased Jim's beloved Hillside cottage from him and Doris on a miserable April where the snow was up to our knees and the wind was howling off the lake. Now 25 years later we still appreciate the beauty of this special place and have kept his vision alive, not changing much of the original structure. It is truly a great place to relax and unwind.
