Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOREEN JUNE MORRIS (nee HYSLOP) Doreen, 87 years, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2017 at River East Personal Care Home. Left to cherish her memory are her children Ernie (Shelley), Lynda (Jim), Rick (Debbie), and Donnie; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Doreen was married to Bob for 48 years until his passing in 1996. Doreen worked as a self-employed hair dresser for many years and did hair at the Central Park Lodge Care Home. She was a Worthy Matron for the Patricia Chapter #8 O.E.S. She loved knitting, gardening, and vacationing (Hawaii) but her true passion was the Sunday family dinners at her home which brought everyone together. Her roast beef and Yorkshire pudding dinners will be greatly missed. Doreen was a loving, caring wife, mother and grandmother. Special thanks to the staff of River East Care Home for their tender care in Doreen's last days. The memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 4, at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue with interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba or the Canadian Diabetes Association. For those who wish to sign the online Guest Book please visit our website.
