Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Years ago while working for her son Dwane I was to their house on a regular basis. Many times I had my young kids with me & Nettie was delighted to see them & keep them entertained for the time we were there. I fondly remember her as a woman with a genuine heart and a great sense of humour. My thoughts & deepest sympathies. - Posted by: Robbie Dick () on: Feb 05, 2017

  • My sincerest condolences on the loss of your mother. I have such fond memories of visiting your family home on Doran Bay. Your mom was always so welcoming. Every time I think of her, I will remember her greeting me with a friendly smile. How lucky you all were to have had such a wonderful and caring mother. • I will always remember Nettie's wonderful Ukrainian cooking. She is the one who taught me how to prepare the dough for pirogies so that they would not fall apart in the water when boiling. She also was a tremendous help to me after the death of my first husband, her brother Alexander. She often kept my youngest daughter after the school daycare closed and I was unable to get home in time due to bad weather. She gave her snacks and often kept her for supper as well. This took a lot of stress off me and I will be eternally grateful for her kindness. May she rest in peace. My condolences to all her children and her siblings. May your memories sustain you in this time of grieving. Love to all. - Posted by: Joan Klym Dueck (Sister-in-law) on: Feb 04, 2017
