LINA LAURENCELLE
Born: May 01, 1945
Date of Passing: Feb 04, 2017
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLINA LAURENCELLE (née TAILLEFER) May 1, 1945 - February 4, 2017 On Saturday, February 4, 2017, with her loving family by her side, Lina Laurencelle peacefully passed away at the age of 71. Lina will be forever lovingly remembered by her children Alain (Francine), Ginette Vanska (Vesa), Michèle Riet (Jeff), Colette Gagné (Pascal), Robert (Heather) and her 16 grandchildren. She is survived by her brother and sisters, David (Florence), Laurette (Claude), Marie (James), Yvonne (Alfred), and Claudette. She will also be fondly remembered by the Laurencelle family and her many nephews and nieces. Lina was predeceased by her parents Simonne (St. Vincent) and Jean Taillefer; brothers, Jean-Paul, Léo and Jacques; brothers-in-law Fabien, Pierre, Roland, Antoine and sisters-in-law Lucille, Yolande and Lorraine. She was born on May 1, 1945 and grew up in La Broquerie where she met her cher Fernand. Together they moved to St. Boniface where she dedicated her life to raising their five children and making a home for her family. She was very fortunate to have traveled to many countries. For Mom, the destination was not as important as the journey and the memories that were created along the way. Mom was a woman of faith. Her relationship with God gave her much comfort and strength especially during her courageous battle with cancer. She was always surrounded by friends and family who provided her with much love and support. Mom was also a strong woman. She taught us the value of honesty and hard work. She loved to keep busy and was always ready and willing to help others. Mom loved her family above all and received great joy in spending time with her grandchildren. She cherished each one in her own special way. They will always remember their Memère. The family would like to thank the Palliative Care Program who always provided Mom and the family with compassionate and professional care. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated by l'abbé Marcel Carrière on Friday, February 10 at 10:30 a.m. at Paroisse du Précieux-Sang, 200 Kenny Street. "Mom, Rest in His arms, Relax in His love and Sleep in His peace." LECLAIRE BROTHERS475 Provencher Blvd., in care of arrangements, 204-775-2220

My sincerest condolences for the loss of your mother, grandmother, and sister. You're all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Matante Lina will greatly be missed. Whenever I think of her, I remember all those times Mom would take me along to Matante's place for coffee. All of her kids were grown and usually not home, so I would sit at the table with the adults, drink juice (or café au lait if I was really lucky!), and listen to her and my mom chat away for hours. She was so kind and funny and would always tease me by calling me "la petite mémère Lepage". I will always remember her fondly, and although we've lost a wonderful woman, she will live on in our hearts. Grieve now, dear family. In time, you'll find yourself smiling at your memory of her. Lots of love, Brigitte. - Posted by: Brigitte Kirady (Lina's niece) on: Feb 09, 2017
