Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELIZABETH KURYS (nee CALLAGHAN) January 11, 1934 - February 5, 2017 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elizabeth at the age of 83 years, on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at the Gimli Community Health Centre. She is survived by her three sons; Ted (Bonnie), Hal, Guy (Melodie); her grandchildren, Alex and Heath Kurys and Kaylie Specula, as well as her sister Christine; brothers, Ian and Willy sister-in-law Pam (Steven and Jennifer) and many more nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Ted Frank Kurys, partner Alfred Paul Kroeber, sisters May, Jessie and Katie, brother Raymond and grandson Dylan Kurys. Elizabeth was born to William and Christine Callaghan in Glasgow Scotland on January 11, 1934. She moved from Glasgow to Winnipeg in the mid 1950's where she met and married Ted Frank Kurys in 1959. While living in Winnipeg they had three sons. In 1970 the family moved to Gimli, where Elizabeth worked at Seagrams until her retirement. In 1972, her husband passed away suddenly. Elizabeth later met her partner of 30 years Alfred Paul Kroeber who passed away in 2013. There will be a private family interment. NEIL BARDAL FUNERAL CENTRE 204-949-2200 neilbardalinc.com
