RONALD GORDON FULTON June 28, 1933 - February 11, 2017 With great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Ron on Saturday February 11, 2017 at the age of 83 after a short illness. He was predeceased by his parents, Mary McGregor and Gordon Fulton; and his wife of 49 years Helene Fulton. He leaves to cherish his memory his four children, Dave (Jamie), Sharon (Kim), Jan, and Brad (Brenda); and eight grandchildren, Courtney (James), Kirby, Injah, Daniel, Andrew, Farrell, Kyle and Tia; and one great-grandchild Christopher. Ron grew up in the Gimli area and later lived in Victoria, Vancouver and Winnipeg. He was a devoted husband, father and "Gramps". His work ethic was unparalleled and he worked his way up from salesperson to the manager of Western Canada at Standard Brands. He also worked at Wallace and Carey for over fifteen years and they still continued to invite him to all celebrations. More than anything he enjoyed fishing and hunting with his friends and spending summers at Caddy Lake. He was the life of any party and not only was his door always open for all, but also everyone's door was always open for him with a glass of scotch waiting. Thank you to the nurses, doctors and health care team at the Health Sciences Centre for their help and comfort in his final days. Thank you to the compassionate staff at CancerCare who helped us all on this journey. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home 4000 Portage Avenue with interment to follow.
