ETHEL VIRA MCDONALD Ethel McDonald (nee Myslowka), 89 died February 21, 2017 at Oakview Place after a lengthy battle with Alzheimers. Born April 1, 1927 in Levack, Ontario to Anthony and Anastasia Myslowka. She was raised in the Abitibi region of Quebec. She married the love of her life Denis in 1946 and was his loving wife for 63 years until his death in 2010. After a long wait they finally had their daughter, Denyse. Ethel began her long and successful career with CIBC in Val d'Or in 1944. Climbing the ranks she became one of CIBC's first female branch managers. She retired from CIBC some 30 plus years later in Montreal where she and Denis were raising Denyse. After several years of retirement in the Laurentians Ethel and Denis moved to Winnipeg in 1998 to be close to Denyse and her family. She so wanted to be a part of her grandchildren's life and watch them grow up. Ethel will be sadly missed by her daughter and son-in-law Denyse and Rod Tustin, her cherished grandchildren, Michael and Natalie, her sister Cia Scott and brother Ron Myslowka (Donna). She is predeceased by her late husband Denis and her parents and two sisters. So generous in nature, Ethel will be fondly remembered by many for her love of cooking, fantastic meals and her love of music and song. The family would like to acknowledge the kindness and care given to Ethel during her time at Oakview Place. For those who wish to sign the online Guest Book please visit our website.
