Date of Passing: Feb 08, 2017
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMYRNA (TERRI) ALICE EVANS March 16, 1942 - February 8, 2017 It is with deep sadness that our family announces the passing of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, Myrna on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba at the age of 74 years. To people she just met she was known as Myrna. However, as you quickly got to know her Myrna quickly asked you to call her Terri which was a nickname she preferred. Left to cherish and remember Terri are her children Karen Rankin (Jeff) and Michael Anderchek; grandchildren Justin Rankin (Alysha) and Eryn Rankin; great-grandchild Calixa Rankin; sister Margaret Durand (Evans); brother George Evans (Moira), and multiple nieces and nephews. Terri was a Registered Nurse being taught by the nuns of St. Boniface Hospital and retiring from geriatric nursing. She was active in training dogs as a child, she progressed to breeding, showing, competing in obedience trials and later in life by rescuing dogs. Terri was a person who enjoyed conversing with people of many ages from young to old. She always had smile and a kind word for everyone who crossed her path. In compliance with Terri's wishes no funeral nor memorial will take place. The family asks in the event you wish to mourn Terri that you contact someone who mutually knew her, have a coffee or a chat about her as this would be the best way to remember all she meant to people. Terri will be buried with her first husband John Anderchek in Round Lake, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, the family asks contributions be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association. I remember Terri as a dog lover and a kind friend when she lived on my street. There were many funny times when she had a scotty dog and one of my cats used to try and lick food remains off his "beard". It was a loss to the neighbourhood when she moved away. - Posted by: Jocelyn McGuire (Neighbour on Mulvey Ave.) on: Feb 25, 2017
