Date of Passing: Feb 17, 2017
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBEVERLEY DOYLE February 22, 1930 - February 17, 2017 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Beverley Doyle, aged 86. She was predeceased by her parents Inga and Wally Byron, brother Bob Byron, husband Jim Doyle, and son Drew Doyle. She is survived by her children Byron (Corinne), Pat (Diana) and Maureen (Jeff), and grandchildren Erik, Inga, Tyler and Brynn. Mom was born Lorna Beverley Byron in Winnipeg, Manitoba to Inga and Wally Byron. Her family settled in Brandon where she attended school and made lifelong friends. Mom returned to Winnipeg to work at the TD bank. In Winnipeg she married Jim Doyle and soon started a family. She was kept busy raising four kids (all angels) and doing volunteer work. She loved the summers at Sandy Hook, where many great family memories were created. She worked as the bookkeeper at our family owned golf course up until the age of 80. All the members that knew her loved her kind, gentle soul. Mom was very proud of her Icelandic heritage and of her father, Wally Byron, who won an Olympic gold medal in 1920 as the goaltender for the Winnipeg Falcons hockey team. We love you, Mom, and thank you for your love and support. You will forever remain in our hearts and in our fondest family memories. According to her wishes, Mom will be cremated and no formal service will take place. If you wish, donations may be made in Mom's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba or the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba. NEIL BARDAL FUNERAL CENTRE 204-949-2200 neilbardalinc.com

I'd like to extend my condolences to the family. As a close friend of Drew during adolescence and early adult years, I spent a great deal of time at the Doyle house on Winchester as well at Sandy Hook. During those years, Bev was like a second mother. Always interested in what we were doing, asking questions, offering her observations and advice,,, she was very loving and a lot of fun. In 1979 I married my (1st) wife at a strictly 'family only' ceremony. Bev came anyway dressed in a trench coat and wearing dark sunglasses. She sat at the back of the church but made sure that I saw her there. I've always loved her for that and have never forgotten. A great lady. She will be missed. - Posted by: Bill fulton (Friend of Drew) on: Feb 26, 2017

Mrs. Doyle was a very sweet lady, she definitely was one of a kind. A smile, a kind word was her greeting to one and all. We all will miss her. Dave & Bonnie - Posted by: Dave & Bonnie MacPherson (Sandy Hook friends) on: Feb 25, 2017
