IKUKO OIKAWA On Thursday, February 16, 2017, Ikuko Oikawa passed away peacefully at the age of 94 years, at her Lions Manor residence. She was born in Japan in 1922 and immigrated to Canada in the 1960s. She is survived by three nieces and a nephew in Japan. Ikuko received her Doctorate of Science from University of Hokkaido in 1962. She was employed by the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg. Thanks to the staff at Lions Place and Lions Manor for their kind assistance, and a special thanks to Dr. Fred Aoki for his care and understanding. Cremation has already taken place.
