SANDRA LEE SLOTA December 6, 1942 - February 24, 2017 With sadness and deep sorrow the family announces the passing of our mother, Sandy after a courageous long battle with cancer on February 24, 2017 at the age of 74. Sandy leaves to mourn her companion Russell Chabluk, brothers Bill (Cheryl), Bob (Yvonne), daughter Debbie, sons Terrence (Fiona), Randy (Julia), Rick Slota. Grandchildren Nicholas (Aime), Johnathan, James (Jessie), Justin, Andrew, Fox, Robin and Cassandra Lee. Great-grandchildren Julian and Jonah. Mom was predeceased by her father Andy in 1992, her mother Olga in 1994 and her sister Gerry in 1958. Sandy enjoyed many summers in her youth at her Baba and Dido Kaminski's home and cabin at Cache Lake in Farlane, Ontario, north of Dryden. She was liked and respected by all who came in contact with her during her long career in the hospitality industry. Mom was a very loving and caring mother who would do anything for her family, putting them ahead of herself. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. The family would like to thank all the staff at the Selkirk and District General Hospital for all their care. A special thanks to the staff at Selkirk Cancer Care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Cancer Society (Manitoba). As per Sandy's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. www.seasonsfunerals.ca
