Condolences & Memories (6 entries)

  • When I was young and growing up on Highcliff Bay Alex was my neighbour. He was always very good to my parents, Jack and Jean Charles. He was very helpful to them when my dad started to show signs of alzheimers. I know my mom would have liked to attend the service but unfortunately she's not as able to get out and about any more. She was definitely thinking of him. Your dad was a great guy. - Posted by: Stu Charles (Neighbour) on: Mar 13, 2017

  • I met Mr Thompson back when Trent and I became friends in Junior high. I always remembered he enjoyed good company, good food (he's the only non-Italian I know that liked my mom's tripe recipe aka Italian haggis), storytelling, and his witty 'british' jokes and sayings. His humour and storytelling certainly carried on with Trent and Todd. My condolences to Mrs. Thompson, Trent and Todd. Rest in peace Mr. Thompson. - Posted by: Mike Raimondi (friend of the family) on: Mar 12, 2017

  • Marian and Family we send you our deepest sympathies on the passing of Alex. He always had a smile on his face and a story to tell, he will be missed. May he rest peacefully. - Posted by: Terry & Pam (Panchuk)Szmon (Marian's cousin) on: Mar 07, 2017

  • My condolences to Todd and Trent. Your father goes way back in my life and he was truly a most popular member of our Air Canada family. I worked many shifts alongside and they we're always fun. May he rest in peace. - Posted by: Joan Farnfield (work colleague and friend) on: Mar 05, 2017

  • I first met Alex in 1973, when I transferred from AC Cargo to the Ticket Counter. During our coffee breaks, Alex was a great story teller, with a good sense of humour. After Alex's retirement I lost touch with him, until the West Park Manor became his new residence. I looked forward to dropping in on Alex when I volunteer at the Manor. Rest in peace ALEX. - Posted by: Ron MacKenzie (Friend & former colleague ) on: Mar 04, 2017
