So sorry to hear of Jan's passing. She was a good friend of my mother's. I remember I took Jan and my mother for a horse carriage ride at Bird's Hill Park to Pineridge Hollow. Jan was so excited. I am sure it brought back memories. My mom really enjoyed their outings together and talked about them often. Well now Jan and Helen are in heaven together and I am sure are having a lot of outings together. - Posted by: Linda Cowell (daughter of Helen Cowell (friend)) on: May 18, 2017

Our condolences Gail from both Barry and I. Was so sorry to hear about your Mom but what a wonderful age she was. No matter how old one's parents are, it is still a terrible loss but just imagine all the wondrous things she experienced over those 102+ years. Unfortunately, I hadn't seen her for many years but met her on various occasions (mostly the Bristol crowd) when we were all gathering to go out when I lived in the 'Peg. She was a lovely person with a good sense of humour. You will have many wonderful memories of her. Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family Gail. Linda said you were able to get up to Winnipeg to see and be with her...it's very hard when not close by at times like this.
