She is lovingly remembered by her sisters, Shirley Ryan, Kathleen Wiebe, Margaret Littlejohn (Lyle); sisters-in-law, Dorothy Scarth, Shirley Scarth and 14 nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband T. Clifford Holdsworth on April 18, 1988; her parents, Jessie and Robert Scarth; brothers-in-law, William Kelly, Lloyd Wiebe and Carman Ryan; her brother Robert on March 15, 2016 and brother Barrie on October 27, 2016. Flora was born in Binscarth, MB on March 25, 1923. She moved with her family to Isabella, MB where she attended school. She joined the Recruiting Core of the Army during the Second World War. She met her husband during this time and they were married May 18, 1946 in Isabella. They lived in Winnipeg where Flora worked in administration at various medical clinics. She and her husband Cliff designed and built a home in Matlock, MB and lived there until Cliff passed away. Flora then moved to Brandon in 1993. Her dream was to live in British Columbia so she moved to a house in Qualicum Beach in 1996 and then to a condominium in Parksville that looked out on the ocean. She returned to Winnipeg in 2001 and moved into Concordia Place in 2013. Flora was a lady who had an eye for the finer things in life. Her home was a delight of beautiful objects, paintings, handsome furniture and an appealing collection of bells. She gracefully hosted dinners for family and friends, set a lovely table and believed "presentation was everything". Flora loved classical music, sang and played the organ for her own pleasure as well as that of others. She enjoyed concerts, the ballet and good literature. She contributed to a number of organizations that involved music, opera, health care, faith and even the Winnipeg Blue Bombers! She was a self-determined individual and despite the challenge of Parkinson's disease later in life, she carried out her goals and dreams. Her strength in character and self-determination is her legacy. Interment will be at the Isabella Cemetery in the spring of 2017.
