MARGARET OSBORN STERZER
Born: Feb 20, 1930
Date of Passing: Mar 18, 2017
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGARET OSBORN STERZER (nee MORROW) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, surrounded by family, on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at the Selkirk General Hospital, at the age of 87 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 67 years, Larry; children, Laura (Rob), David (Deborah), Rick (Shannon), Norman (Karen) and Sandy. She cherished each of her many grandchildren, young and old. She was predeceased by her parents, David and Elizabeth, and sister Nora. Mom was born in Winnipeg, MB on February 20, 1930. She married the love of her life, Larry Sterzer and soon had five children. Larry and Marg moved to Lockport, MB to raise horses and start a small hobby farm but soon discovered they needed a bigger place so moved to their forever home in Petersfield, MB. Marg worked for Inland Trust and Savings for many years and volunteered with the St. Andrews/St. Clement's Agricultural Society where she made many friends and was the Secretary/Treasurer for the St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church in Petersfield. Mom loved to sing and dance the jive and jitterbug with her husband. Mom didn't say a lot but was always the quiet voice of reason and gave us some pretty incredible advice over years. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 25 at 11:00 a.m. in the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church in Selkirk, MB with Father Stan Gacek officiating. Lunch will follow and a private family interment will take place at a later date in the St. Anne's Cemetery. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all the staff at the Selkirk General Hospital for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Marg's memory to the Alzheimer Society or the Manitoba Lung Association. Condolences may be left at www.gilbartfuneralhome.com Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
