I had the pleasure of working with both Marina and her sister Sheena, at St Amant. When first meeting Marina, I got a wide-eyed look with a cheeky grin. I thought Who IS that? But I soon learned she was a very cool bright funny young woman. All the things that were said about her by family and friends at her memorial service... Sometimes to work I wore these brown pin striped pants that she really liked. Once in a while I go through my closet and give away things that I won't wear anymore. On the day of her memorial service I got a sudden feeling about those pants, and as I looked to where I thought they might be hanging, I felt scared that they wouldn't be there. And there they were! They don't fit me anymore, but they're not going anywhere. Marina and I shared great excitement when we discovered that we shared the same middle name,Joy. And joy she brought, to our clients at St Amant ,co- workers, and all her friends and family, and her dear little puppy ! There will be such fun and mischief in heaven!! Love and hugs to all who have known this remarkable woman...Sally Brown - Posted by: Sally Brown (Friend/ co-worker) on: Mar 27, 2017

This breaks my heart...Hamblin Family, you are in my thoughts and prayers!! In High School and Jr High, I had the pleasure of playing South End United soccer with Marina. I was the goalkeeper on the team and she was a defender. Marina was my rock on the field, and I remember many times she would encourage me and help me get through games when I felt “it was my fault” for letting in a bad goal. I haven’t seen her in years but, will always remember the encouragement she gave me when we played together. The tap on the back or the kind words she shared with me will never be forgotten!!! She had a great personality, and such a great heart…you will truly be missed!! - Posted by: Janelle Cleave (Former Teamate from South End United) on: Mar 23, 2017
