PABLITO LALUAN QUINIT June 19, 1954 - March 19, 2017 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Pablito, at the Health Science Centre with his family at his side, on Sunday, March 19, 2017, after his battle with cancer. Pablito is lovingly remembered by his wife Claire, of 14 years; his sons, Marvin and Marc; daughters, Mitchie (Ryan), Feven (Patrick) and Paula; grandchildren, Peter, Jordan and Austin Cormier, and Devon, Gloriosa, Maryrose and Jaysun Neilan. Pablito is also survived by his brothers, Carlos (Rose) and Ricardo Jr. (Nemia) in Canada and brothers, Alejandro and Domingo and sisters, Felicula, Basilisa, Teresita, Nenita in the Philippines. Pablito was predeceased by his first wife Gloriosa of 22 years and parents Ricardo Sr. and Maria Quinit. He was born in Pozzorubio, Pangasinan, Philippines and served in the Philippine Armed Forces for over 15 years. He immigrated with his wife and four children to Manitoba in 1989 and resided in Winnipeg for the rest of his life. Pablito enjoyed fishing with his family, gardening in his back yard and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a man who never seemed to rest and was active and hardworking always until his illness. He loved cooking for his family and friends. He was generous and caring to all and was a devoted member of his church. Pablito set an example for us all in how to be humble and modest, as he had a kind word for everyone. Even in his final days he was gracious and generous to those around him and was better to people than life was to him. The family would like to thank his sonin-law Dr. Ryan J Cormier for helping him with his journey. Pastor Jesse Fortaleza will preside over the memorial service celebrating Pablito's life on Friday, March 24, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, with a reception to follow. Interment will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. He will be laid to rest in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pablito's kindness and generosity were contagious and he will be missed greatly. For those who wish to sign the online Guest Book please visit our website. • To Claire, Marvin, Marc and family, we offer our sincere condolences. I will miss Paul's cheerful greeting of 'Hi Joe' every time we saw each other, that contagious smile would always put you in a good mood. I'll miss our discussions of how the Bombers are doing, and offer each other our opinion of how to make them champions; the fishing stories and life in general. Paul was not only a business supplier, but a Good Friend to all. We'll miss you always. Rest in peace my friend, as you are now with our Lord. Put in a good word for the Bomber with the 'Big Guy' so we might win a Grey Cup. Joe, Alice and family - Posted by: Joe & Alice Cuscito & Family (Friend) on: Mar 24, 2017
