Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOROTHEA NUGENT On Saturday, March 18, 2017, Dorothea passed away peacefully. She was predeceased by her husband James in 1994, her parents Adolf and Pauline, her siblings Arthur, Ruben, Ray, Gertie and Iris. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Clare (Anne), her grandchildren Mariah and Eric and her other son Carter (Deidre and daughter Stephanie). Ma was born in Biggar, Saskatchewan, moved to Winnipeg with her parents where she eventually met her husband James. She was employed with the taxation department, then she became a dedicated and loving homemaker who was always very involved with her children's activities. Her many interests included softball, cake decorating, crafts, watching curling, playing cards and all her activities at the Kiwanis Chateau. Her adventurous side included hot air ballooning, flying in a stunt plane, motorcycle rides and many cruises. In accordance with Ma's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private celebration of life has been held. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dorothea's memory may be made to a charity of your choice. So sorry I missed seeing this in March 2017. Mum and Dorothea had many good times together at the Kiwanis Chateau. They always gave each other a telephone call every morning to check that all was well. I also enjoyed when Dorothea would join Mum and I for lunch. Wonderful Lady. You will miss her.
