KATHLEEN (KAY) SALLY HARVEY Kathleen (Kay) Sally Harvey, 78, passed away peacefully at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Rosewood Lodge in Stonewall Manitoba. Kay was born March 21, 1939 in Beresford, Manitoba, to Euphamia and Arthur Ellwood. Kay is survived by her husband, Jerry; her children, Tricia and Tommy (Carolyn); her grandchildren, Amanda and Steven, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews all of whom loved her dearly. She was predeceased by her brother, Tom; sister, Marylou; and her mother and father. Kay married Jerry, the love of her life, in 1961. They became longtime residents of Stony Mountain where she and Jerry raised their kids in the Harvey family home. Anyone who knew Kay knew how much she enjoyed gardening and cooking for her family. You knew spring was here when the south side of the house was sprinkled with her beloved tulips! Kay was the absolute best baker in town, often being referred to as Aunty Cakes! Kay began her working career as a hairdresser. Soon her love of caring for others led her to take up the nurse's aide profession. Kay spent 25 plus happy years providing loving and compassionate care for the residents of Rosewood Lodge. There was not a hallway Kay would walk down without stopping to smile and say hi to each and every resident. The family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation for the wonderful care Kay received both at the Stonewall Hospital and Rosewood Lodge. It was so wonderful to see Kay being cared for in the same way that she cared for her patients. A funeral service has been scheduled for Wednesday, March 29 at 1:00 p.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel in Stonewall, Manitoba.
