MABEL MANN Florence Mabel Mann (nee Siddall) passed away quietly in her sleep at Deer Lodge Centre on March 27, 2017, at the age of 93. Mabel was born in Port Arthur, Ontario, the only daughter of Elizabeth and William Siddall. She was predeceased by both her parents, brothers Douglas and Leslie, John, her husband of 50 years, and daughter-in-law Gay. Left to mourn her passing is her brother Gerald, daughter Gayle Smokal, son Robert, five grandchildren, and many other family members and friends. Her warmth, compassion and generous support endeared her to many who met or knew her. The family would like to thank all of the staff at the Deer Lodge Centre for their diligent care over the years, and a very special thanks to her companion caregivers who ensured she remained engaged and comfortable, some had been with her for many years. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice in her memory. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Interment to follow. Auntie Mabel was like a second mother to me as I was growing up and she was like a sister to my mum. I spent a lot of time with Auntie Mabel and I have so many fond and loving memories of her. She was amazing at sewing stuff for me and I still have my Christmas stocking that she made for me 57 years ago!
