ALICE M. BLOOMFIELD (nee SHELDON) On Thursday, March 9, 2017, Alice, our beloved mom, went to be with her husband Jack and her son John. We, her family, Laura (John who passed in 1971), Brian (Dianne), Sidney (Wendy), Ted (Linda), Margaret (Pierre), and Sharon (Alistair), will miss Mom, more than words can ever express. Mom was so very proud of her 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren who will miss her love and devotion. She will also be greatly missed by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Alice was born in the Stonewall District November 20, 1920, to Fred and Maggie Sheldon. She married John Robert Bloomfield (Jack), September 15, 1939. After the war they settled in St. Vital then Fort Rouge to raise their family. Their home was always a place of friendship and special memories for all who entered. Mom had been on her own since Dad's passing in 1982, but stayed the cement that bound our family, through thick and thin. Special thanks to John Bloomfield, Kyle Bloomfield, Andrew Bloomfield, Steven Roy, Kevin Roy, Cody Roy and Jonathan Bourdeau who, as pallbearers, carried their grandmother to her rest, between her beloved husband Jack and son John. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, MB.
