Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOSEPH SENGA November 29, 1930 - April 3, 2017 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Joe on April 3, 2017 at Goodwin Lodge at the age of 86. He leaves to mourn his children Glen (Barb), Marie (Leonard), Philip (Pam), Adam (Lori); grandchildren Justin (Shannon), Christine (Josh), Joey (Tashina), Tim, Meagan, Dillon, Brooklyn, Jacob, Ashley; great-grandchildren Peyten, Hayden, Benjamin; brother-in-law Jim; sister-in-law Anne; as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife Jean of 57 years (August 2016), his parents Philip and Olga, brothers Walter and Mike. Joe was born on November 29, 1930. He married the love of his life Jean on June 20, 1959. They made a life in Malonton, Manitoba where they built a loving home and farm and raised their family. In addition to farming, Dad worked off the farm operating heavy equipment - clearing land, digging dugouts for a number of years. Dad suffered a stroke in 1992. Mom provided loving care for Dad until March 2015. Due to her health, Dad stayed in Teulon Hospital until his transfer to Goodwin Lodge in August 2016. Dad loved social/family gatherings. He loved hunting, loved to watch hockey and listen to Ukrainian music and was an enthusiastic harmonica player. Dad greatly enjoyed the family visits at Goodwin Lodge, but truly missed Mom. Mom and Dad - you are now reunited together, forever. The family would like to thank Dad's homecare workers and the staff at Teulon Hospital and Goodwin Lodge for their care and compassion. Funeral service will be held on Monday, April 10, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Teulon, Manitoba. Interment to follow at Zbruch Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Josh Herlevsen, Kevin Glowachuk, Lawrence Walkin, Mark Chorney, Allen Evanchyshin and Steve Stepaniuk.
