DR. JIAN MIN TANG October 18, 1955 - April 7, 2017 It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Jian Min Tang. She is survived by her loving husband, Dr. Zilong Wang; her son Qinyang (Joseph) Wang; her daughter-in-law Yicheng (Christie) Xu; as well as her mother, sister and brother who reside in China. Jian Min will be sorely missed by everyone whose life she touched. Dr. Tang was born in Suzhou, China and completed her degree in Medicine at the University of Suzhou before obtaining her Acupuncture degree. She immigrated to Winnipeg, Canada in 1997 and worked at Spectrum Health Centre for almost 14 years. A thoughtful and kind woman, Dr. Tang cared deeply about her family and her patients. She always did her best for everyone, and she provided successful treatments and solutions for patients. No challenge was ever too big for her, and she confronted all conditions and ailments until there was relief or a cure. She was a remarkable doctor and a gifted healer -- wise, virtuous, and pure. Our love for you will never end, and our memories will keep you alive in our hearts forever. A private service has already been held. Donations in Dr. Jian Min Tang's name can be made to CancerCare Manitoba. Arrangements in care of Chapel Lawn.

Thinking of our beloved Dr. Jian Min Tang today, and everyday … Missing the sweet sound of her soothing voice and that joyful, contagious laugh! Missing her wonderful boundless heart & acts of thoughtful, loving-kindness. Missing her tremendous wealth of wisdom, from which she so freely shared, and the incredible healing power that flowed through her soft, gentle hands. Jian Min was a genuinely amazing woman, who had a significant impact on my life. I am truly grateful for the time we spent together and all that she has taught and shared with me. She will forever hold a special place in my heart. Heartfelt thoughts and hugs to Zilong and Joseph and family. Sending much love. I met Jian Min through her medical services to my workplace (employee health benefits). Over time, Jamie and her family became dear friends. Not only was Jamie a superb doctor, she was a wise, sincere and caring friend who always expressed concern for others. I will cherish happy times sharing dinner or tea and all of the laughter. Sometimes in life you meet people with whom you feel a special bond; Jamie was that sort of person for me. My love and sympathy to Zilong, Joseph and Christie at this difficult time of loss. - Posted by: Pam Hadder (Friend and client) on: Apr 09, 2017

Dr Tang.... you made my son possible. I will forever be grateful to you for your kindness and expertise when I was unable to stay pregnant. After 5 months with you I finally stayed pregnant after 4 unexplained miscarriages. I am so glad we stayed in touch after. I'm so sorry I didn't get my Christmas card to you this year. I fell behind. I hope you are at peace. We will miss you dearly and will always remember you. I called you the baby whisperer. My thoughts to Zilong and Joseph and family. Love Rickie and Henry. - Posted by: Rickie Walkden (Friend/patient) on: Apr 09, 2017

I worked with Dr. Tang for many years at Spectrum Health Centre. She was truly an amazing woman. The sweetest, gentlest, soul I've ever had the privilege to call a friend. My heartfelt condolences go out to her family. She fought a long hard battle. May she rest in peace. - Posted by: Susan Anderson (Co-worker) on: Apr 08, 2017
