Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • Because we are a part of the U.S. branch of the Thomas family our time spent with Uncle Jim was rare - which made it very precious. Whether we were visiting with the family in Winnipeg, enjoying his hospitality at the Dorothy Lake cottage, or hosting him on his visits to California, we always appreciated his gentleness, good humor and generosity. Uncle Jim was devoted to his family and friends and dedicated his life to serving others. We will think of him often and miss him always. Our sincere condolences to all who knew and loved him - Rob, Karla, Tim, Joey and Mary Thomas - Posted by: Rob and Karla Thomas and family () on: Apr 18, 2017

  • Jim and Doreen were lifelong friends in "Faith" from as long as I can remember. From Doreen being our witness at our wedding to Jim cheerfully offering help to us and our young family wherever he could. I (we) will carry Jim and Doreen and the Thomas families in our hearts and souls forever. Terrol (Bobert) & Don Rogers - Posted by: Terrol and Don Rogers (friends) on: Apr 08, 2017

  • Brenda, Janice, David & Phyllis...and families. There are just no simple words to express our sympathy on your loss, or condolences conveyed. May Jim's legacy of humility, humanitarianism and love-beyond-limits, be an eternal tribute. His wisdom and compassion will be cherished in our hearts forever, just as your special memories will ease your pain and sorrow. Your faith will guide you beyond these dark moments, and "...the Seasons..." awaiting us all. - Posted by: Susan Ivanhoe & Allen Miller (Cousin) on: Apr 08, 2017

  • My son Tim and I send sincere and heartfelt condolences to Phyllis and the Thomas family . Jim was a kind and gentle person. I remember when I accidentally bumped into the rear of his car. He was more worried about the expense to me and got it fixed on his own, that is how he was . I enjoyed our chats in the mornings when I was coming home from work and he and Phyllis were on their daily walks . Always friendly, never grumpy, even after those long walks . Sending prayers for strength, comfort , love and light during your time of grief . - Posted by: Wendy Brabant (Neighbor ) on: Apr 08, 2017
